Delete your account
Cowchow is a feed management app for dairy and beef farms, made by Cowchow Labs Ltd.. You can delete your Cowchow account yourself, in the app or on the web. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
- Open Cowchow and go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. If you own the farm, you type the farm's name to confirm.
This works for farm owners, managers and operators.
- Go to dashboard.cowchow.io/accounts/delete and sign in with your email address.
- Confirm. If you own the farm, you type the farm's name to confirm.
This works for farm owners, managers and nutritionists. Operators have no dashboard sign-in, so they delete their account in the app.
Email hello@cowchow.io from the address on your account. If you're an operator without the app any more, tell us your name and your farm's name. We'll delete your account within 30 days.
- If you own the farm: the farm and everything in it (cow groups, ingredients, rations and feeding history), everyone's access to it, and your account, email address and name. Your subscription ends the same day, with no refund for the time remaining. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription at dashboard.cowchow.io instead and your records stay.
- Everyone else: your account, email address and name. Feedings you logged stay in the farm's records, shown as "Former member".
- Payment records. Invoices and payments, held by our payment provider Stripe, for 6 years to meet Irish tax rules. Saved payment cards are removed.
- Proof the free trial was used. If you ever started a subscription or free trial, a one-way hash of your email address, so the trial can't be claimed again by deleting the account and signing up again. We can't read your address from it.
- Backups. Copies of the deleted data in our backups are erased within 30 days.
